I came by the Freighthouse a few summers ago on a visit to my hometown and very much enjoyed the ice cream and looking through the gift shop. I found out later that it is owned by an old schoolmate of mine and his wife.
I miss the Northeast Kingdom and places like this.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! It’s the best ice cream shop in town, and not to mention the historic photographs! Everywhere we look there’s always a little something to discover. While on our annual vacations there, we stop here several times (with 50 flavors of ice cream, it’s hard to only go once) It’s a must see for anyone visiting the Northeast Kingdom!
